PRIVATE BETA
Beta FAQ
The short version of everything on the invite page, plus a few things people usually ask once they’re in.
What is ReviewCoach?
A place for dance students to send practice clips and for coaches to pin timestamped feedback to the exact moment it matters. Notes turn into a back-and-forth thread, not a one-shot grade.
Who is this beta for?
One existing dance group, invited directly by their coach or Haytham. There's one coach in this round — no separate TA workflow yet, even though the product supports it.
How long will the beta run?
At least two weeks, or two completed class assignments — whichever takes longer. This isn't a one-off trial we're winding down on a fixed date: if it's working, we plan to keep it running and invite more dance groups.
What will participants be asked to do?
Set a password, join your group, submit at least one practice clip as a YouTube link, read and reply to your coach's feedback, and let us know how it went — a couple of short surveys, nothing long.
Who can see submitted clips?
Members of your own group — your coach and any TAs — plus ReviewCoach admins, who can access clips and submissions for support and moderation. No one outside that, and nothing is public.
Are videos downloaded, sold, or reused?
No. Clips aren't sold, and we won't reuse anything you submit — including as an anonymized quote — without asking you directly first.
Can a participant remove a clip?
Not yet as a self-serve action in the beta. Email us and we'll remove it manually — this is a known gap, not an oversight, and it's on the list to fix.
Can a participant leave the beta?
Any time — email us, we'll revoke access and remove your data, and confirm once it's done.
What devices and browsers are supported?
iPhone Safari, Android Chrome, and desktop Chrome are fully supported. Desktop Safari and Firefox should work but haven't been fully verified yet.
What should someone do if something breaks?
Use the "Report a problem" link — it's in Settings, and it also shows up on its own wherever something's gone wrong, like an error banner or the "couldn't load" retry screen. Most of the time it opens a short in-app form, not an email: your page, timestamp, and browser are already filled in, so you just describe what happened. The one exception is before you're signed in at all — the very first loading screen, or the invite-acceptance page — where it's a plain email to reviewcoach@dancehub.io instead, with the same details.
Will ReviewCoach remain free?
Free for the beta. We haven't set pricing for afterward — nothing here is an offer or a commitment either way.
What happens to participant data after the beta?
Deleted within 30 days of the beta ending, unless you ask us to delete it sooner — or ask us to keep it, if you'd like to keep using ReviewCoach. If anything is retained longer for a specific reason, we'll tell you what and why.
Still have a question?
Email reviewcoach@dancehub.io — we check it at least once a day during the beta.
